Considerations for Botox Injections

Who hasn’t heard of Botox? Many people have already gone through this procedure to remove the unwanted lines on their faces. This is especially useful if your income is somehow related to your appearance. Or, maybe you received Botox injections for no reason other than vanity. No matter what your reasoning’s are for getting or wanting Botox, there are a few things to know or remember:

1. Botox is known for removing wrinkles. But it will not help diminish other common skin problems caused by aging such as age spots, sun damage and problems with pigmentation. This will also not soften your skin if your main concern is roughness.

2. This is a costly procedure. You will not go through a Botox injection only once. Most people will do touch-ups 2-3 times per year.

3. This could also be risky especially if you do not go to the right doctor. The procedure entails injecting toxins into your skin. Not everybody will have the same reaction.

4. You will need to discuss with your physician about the vitamins and medicines you are taking before undergoing a Botox injection. They need to be informed about your body and your system so they can determine if you are a good candidate or not.

5. If not done properly, instead of removing the unwanted lines, you may end up having more than before the injections.

6. This is not for someone with very sensitive skin and veins. You also need to make sure you are ready emotionally, physically and mentally.

Botox injections for aging skin must be thought about very hard before committing to the procedure. Once you’ve done it, there will be up-keep and regular maintenance. However, if you find the right doctor and are happy with the results, Botox injections will take years off your skin.

My motto is ‘Vanity is Good’

As always, wishing you all the best!

Anti Aging Clinics: Are The Procedures Safe

As the number of anti aging clinics across the country grows, more and more people are turning to surgical procedures to hold back the visible signs of aging. In the past, it was only rich women visiting their surgeons for face lifts. These days, almost anyone can afford some type of anti aging procedure. The question is, however, are they safe?

The good news is that in the majority of cases, they are very safe. Most anti aging procedures are routine operations. Even simpler techniques can be practiced by a dermatologist without a general anesthetic. Treatments include chemical peels to reveal younger looking skin underneath, fillers such as Botox to smooth out wrinkles, as well as the classic face lift, chin tucks, liposuction and other surgical operations.

However, there are still some risks. You should always ask what the risks are before agreeing to any procedure. Read the fine print and be sure to tell the doctor or dermatologist if you have any medical diseases or conditions, or if you are taking any medications. In rare cases this could affect the outcome. And, do you homework on the doctor that will perform the procedure.

It is also a good idea to ask what would happen if things went wrong. What are some of the negative effects that can result from the procedure, and how would the anti aging clinic handle them if they happened to you?

Most people do not want to think about side effects or failure. The clinic will usually encourage you to think very positively and fantasize about the great results that you will have. But it can be very helpful to know what the risks are.

For example, perhaps some people take longer to heal. Could you take extra time off work right now if you had to? What if you have a vacation coming up? Would it be better to reschedule to be sure of being fully recovered?

Nevertheless, it is important to weigh all the pros and cons for your individual case before making a decision. Discover what the results are likely to be. Nothing will make you look 21 again, and if you expect that, then you are sure to be disappointed even if the procedure is successful. It is better to be fully aware of what you can expect before you check in to any anti aging clinic, then you have a very good chance of being happy with the results.

As always wishing you the best!

What are Copper Peptides

As we grow older our skin produces less collagen. As this collagen begins the breaking down process, certain peptides are formed that will act as a signal to let your skin know it has been damaged. This "signal" tells the skin to make new collagen. This means peptides actually stimulate collagen production.

Since peptides are very small and can penetrate to the deepest layers of the skin, copper is often added. Copper is used as a skin healing agent and has been found to be more effective than Vitamin C and Retin-A for developing more collagen.

For an anti aging copper peptide cosmeceutical product to work it should be made into a serum or thin layer of cream that is easily penetrable to the skin. Thick creams will sit on the skins surface and wash off before they are absorbed and can work. Anti aging serums are known for their ability to penetrate both the top and bottom layers of the skin, allowing your skin to receive the full benefit of this active ingredient.

Exfoliation is needed for anti aging actives to perform to their full potential. Otherwise, your anti aging products are sitting on top the skin’s dead cells. Glycolic Acid is a fantastic exfoliator. By alternating glycolic acid with a copper peptide serum, you are sure to have the anti aging benefits you desire.

Aging Skin?

Aging Skin?

Aging skin problems affects all of us as we grow older. However, there are things that we can do to delay the effects or bring some improvement if you are already seeing those unwanted effects.

Many aging skin problems are caused by the skin becoming more dry as we get older. It loses its elasticity, for example if you pinch the skin on the back of your hand for a second and let it go, a young person's skin will show nothing while an older person's will stay visibly slightly pinched for a few moments.

This dryness and loss of elasticity is what leads to wrinkles on the face and other parts of the body. This is one of the most common aging skin problems that virtually everybody notices.

Moisturizing with a good anti aging skin cream and/or an anti aging serum made of only active ingredients will help. Do not forget to moisturize the hands too, since they often show the signs of aging very fast. It is a good idea to use a body cream or exfoliator after showering. Pay particular attention to the elbows, knees and shins which can be problem areas for dry skin.

It is important to treat the skin from the inside too. This means giving it the food and water that provide building blocks and keep it healthy. Drink plenty of water, spread through the day. Be sure to eat at least five servings of fruit and vegetables a day - ten is better. This will give you a good chance of consuming all of the vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that the body needs.

Another thing that happens as we age is that the cells of our body are not replaced so fast. You may notice that wounds heal more slowly, and it may take longer to recover from minor illnesses such as a cold. These are examples of the slowing down of cell growth and replication.

This deceleration in cell replication has some positive aspects. For example you may be aware that cancer tends to develop more slowly in older people than in younger ones. This is because the cancer cells do not replicate so fast when we are older.

But the slowing down of the healing process also has some negative effects, as we have already seen. Recovery and healing times are longer. In some cases this can lead to more serious aging skin problems such as ulcers. Skin ulcers can form where a wound is extremely slow to heal.

If you have serious aging skin problems like these, you might want to consider taking a supplement that will stimulate the production of human growth hormone. This is the substance that causes the cells to recover and replicate faster. Younger people have a lot more human growth hormone than seniors.

Human growth hormone is very popular with Hollywood celebrities. It has been described as the miracle cure for aging. While we would not go so far as that, it is certainly the case that it may help with many aging skin problems.

We are always beautiful!

Is Eyebrow Threading better for your skin than Eyebrow Waxing?

In my opinion, yes!

Threading is a gentle art. It involves precisely twisting a length of cotton thread along unwanted hairs. The twisting action traps the hair and lifts it out of the follicle. Like with tweezing, the results can last up to two to four weeks. It is a fast, effective method for hair removal, particularly popular for removing fine facial hair and shaping eye brows. It can also be used to cover large areas, such as the legs and arms.

Compared to other forms of hair removal, such as tweezing, waxing, and electrolysis, threading is definitely less painful. Only a slight pinch should be felt. The top layers of skin are not peeled or traumatized in the process. While threading will exfoliate some dead skin cells, skin rashes and irritation should be uncommon.

Threading works on all skin types, including normal, sensitive, tanned, or damaged skin. It is also an excellent option for those who use Retin-A, Accutane, and similar products which would be contraindications for other hair removal methods. However, if you have recently had a chemical peel, you should wait 24 hours before threading. Threading is also best for smooth surfaces, so it is not recommended for bikini areas or areas of severe acne.

Unlike waxing and depilatory creams, threading uses no chemicals or heat on the skin which prevents any ripping or irritation from occurring. The skin will be slightly red after threading but only for a few minutes. It is advised for anyone with sensitive and tender skin to use threading above any other form of hair removal due to the natural and painless technique that is used. Another benefit of this technique is that it is inexpensive, there are no costly chemicals used and it takes less than 15 minutes to complete. I had mine done yesterday for $8.00.

For people who like to remain natural and not have any harmful or strong substances involved in their beauty regimen, threading is the perfect hair removal method.

As always, wishing all of you the best!

What does the anti-aging, active ingredient Alpha Lipoic Acid do for your skin?

Many, if not most skin care conscious people have heard about Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA). You probably heard it referred to as "the miracle in a jar" for its anti-aging effects. It’s a newer, ultra-potent antioxidant that helps fight future skin damage and helps repair past damage.

Alpha-lipoic acid has been referred to as a "universal antioxidant" because it’s soluble in both water and oil, which permits its entrance to all parts of the cell. Due to this quality, it is believed that alpha-lipoic acid can provide the greatest protection against damaging free radicals.

As a primary ingredient in our Alpha Lipoic Serum, Alpha Lipoic Moisturizing Treatment Cream and Alpha Lipoic Eye Cream, it can help diminish fine lines and wrinkles, gives your skin a healthy glow, and boosts levels of other antioxidants, such as vitamin C.

To make our products have the most anti aging effect possible, they contain several active ingredients together. For instance, Our ALA serum also contains DMAE, which strengthens cells and has a rapid firming and tightening effect, Glycolic Acid for exfoliation, to help the key ingredients penetrate into your skin better and Vitamin C which helps even your skin tone.

For the 1st time ever, we are offering a 35% off sale for our ALA serum.

Please feel free to PM me with any questions you may have.

As always, wishing all of you the best!
